Our Nibs

In the beginning was the nib, the heart of every fountain pen. It is the nib that turns the pen into an “instrument” that puts ink, and with it our thoughts, ideas, feelings and worries, on paper. Such a heart should receive the utmost care – at least that is our philosophy as a fountain pen manufacturer. We thought long and hard about how we could beautify our nibs without subjecting them to processes that reduce quality. A call to JoWo finally put us on the golden path: a nib printed with our own design! So we packed our bags and went to JoWo in Berlin, where we explored the possibilities in a three-hour meeting. Finally, after a fruitful brainstorming session with the CEO and the head of purchasing and sales, we set the final basic design for our GIOIA nib in stone. Six weeks later, the final design was ready, so we could finally commission the production.
